Statement of Faith:

The ministry of Faith and Family Homestead is rooted in the eternal truths of God's Word and driven by the life-giving power of the Holy Spirit. Our purpose is to foster spiritual growth within the context of family and community, supported by the tangible works of our hands.

Who we are and what we believe:

A foggy park with tall trees and a gravel path, to the left of the path is grass, and in the background, there is a playground with a slide and a swing, with the sun rising or setting through the fog and trees.

The Holy Scriptures (The Bible)

We believe the Holy Bible, specifically the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the very Word of God, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, and without error in the original manuscripts. It is our supreme and final authority for faith and practice.

Scripture: "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." (2 Timothy 3:16 NKJV)

We believe in one true God, eternally existing in three co-equal, co-eternal, and co-essential Persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God the Father is the absolute and sovereign Creator of the universe, the source of all life, order, and provision. We acknowledge His ownership over all creation and strive to be faithful stewards of the gifts and resources He provides.

Scripture: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1 NKJV)

Jesus Christ: The Lord and Savior

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is both fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, offered Himself as the perfect, substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of the world by dying on the cross, was resurrected bodily, ascended to heaven, and is now interceding for us.

Scripture: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV)

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

Following the Principle of Salvation by Grace Alone, we believe that salvation is the free gift of God, provided solely through His grace and received through personal repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a regenerative work of the Holy Spirit, whereby the believer is immediately declared righteous and eternally secure.

Scripture: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV)

This passage addresses every key component of the doctrine:

  • Grace: "by grace you have been saved"

  • Through Faith: "through faith"

  • Gift of God/Not of Works: "it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast"

  • Not of Yourselves: "and that not of yourselves"

The Centrality of the Holy Spirit (Driving the Ministry)

We believe the Holy Spirit is the divine agent who convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer, indwells every Christian, and equips us for godly living and service. The very life and operation of Faith and Family Homestead is yielded to the guidance and empowering of the Holy Spirit to produce the fruit of the Spirit in our lives and ministry.

Scripture: "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." (John 14:26 NKJV)

In accordance with the Principle of the Autonomy of the Local Church and Ministries; Priesthood of Every Believer, we believe the local church is an independent, self-governing body of baptized believers. Furthermore, every believer has direct access to God through Jesus Christ and is personally responsible to study and interpret the Scriptures.

The Church and Priesthood of All Believers

We believe Christ instituted two ordinances for the church: Believer’s Baptism by immersion and The Lord’s Supper (Communion). These are symbolic acts to be observed by believers only. (following the Baptist Principle of Two Ordinances)

The Ordinances

We believe in the Principle of Free Will, upholding the right of every person to choose their spiritual path without coercion. However, we also affirm that the Bible sets the standard for Christian conduct. We are called to live holy lives, displaying integrity, love, and compassion as a testimony to Christ.

Biblical Authority and Christian Living

We believe that the work created and sold by Faith and Family Homestead is an act of worship and stewardship, reflecting the biblical value of honest labor. The proceeds from these items are solely dedicated to the continued mission and support of this ministry.

Scripture: "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might." (Ecclesiastes 9:10a NKJV)

Scripture: "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men." (Colossians 3:23 NKJV)
